New Details for Dead or Alive 3D

Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has recently spilled some new info on Dead or Alive Dimensions which is nearing it’s release on Nintendo 3DS.

Dead or Alive Dimensions contains a “figure mode” which is similar to that of Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition. Unlike Street Fighter, the figures seem to be strictly collectable (rather than used for battle). In fact, the system works more like “Super Smash Bro’s” figure mode.

There are over 1000 figures to collect. Players can take 3D photos of the figures, choosing things like background colour and precise camera positions – even down to the depth using the 3D slider. These will be viewable in the 3D picture album.

We’ll get some screenshots up soon, but for now here’s one of a similar mode in Dead or Alive Paradise on PSP.

Famistu also shared the currently announced character line up. Brad Wong, Gen Fu, Jann Lee, Lei Fang, Tina, Eliot, La Mariposa and Kokoro all make an appearance, which are the same team you’ll be able to play in the demo that’s being shown in various 3DS events.
